Know More About Sue Chew and Her Re-election Campaign!!!

E-mail Print PDF

 Profile of Sue Chew

 Sue Chew is the 3rd generation of Chinese born in America. His father asked each of his children to please give back to their community. Sue Chew has been here in Boise since 1986 when she came to do a postgraduate program in geriatrics at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and she is a PharmD pharmacist. Until recently when the public policy work became ever more crucial, she taught at the college level at BSU and also at CWI in addition to being a member of the Idaho Legislature. Her committee work is in the two heavy ones--healthcare and education. Her work this year included the anti-bullying legislation and the collaboration between law enforcement and pharmacists to curtail meth lab proliferation. Her passion is to make sure people who do not have a voice be able to be heard--and so the Peanut Butter + Jelly sandwich role play at the Capitol for our children last year.

What She Needs:

 Help in both

 1) getting the votes to win so she can continue to have an impact for us all;

 2) support in the internal work that is required to keep this campaign moving.

 How to Help:
1. Donations for a campaign for Sue to run 2 races:

 a)one primary for May 15th

b)second one for Nov 15th.

 2. Volunteer work—

 a. For those are good with Excel, Word, and general office skills!
b. For those who can analyze data, do issue research--this is a skill that would bring a more powerful voice

c. For those who have a car--running errands

 d. For those who can help place literature at doorsteps--Help Saturday, April 21st, morning and other lit drops further in the season

e. For reaching voters:
     --i. Phonecallers anytime, MWF 6:30-9pm, Sat 1-5pm, possibly Sunday  6:30-8:30pm
     --ii. Help walking with Sue to register voters anytime mornings, afternoons and evenings M-F, Sat and afternoons, evenings Sunday

 f. Social media, editing, writing;

 g. making walking maps, looking up phone numbers, writing thank you's, helping with correspondence and so on;

 h. organizing events—there are 2 educational events needed for Sue to arrange for our    Chinese community.

Please register to stay informed about our community

In the past, we have been using manually assembled email lists to send event announcements, news, and other information. As our community continues to grow, it becomes very difficult to maintain an updated email list. We have also heavily relied on work email addresses, which may not be appropriate.
